On December 4th, 39 students from JIC, EI, and QIB went on an exciting trip to Horsey Gap beach to see the grey seal pups!
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by an impressive sight—over 600 pups, born in the past week alone. It was truly amazing to witness so many of them.
We enjoyed a peaceful walk in the coastal air and learnt many facts about the grey seal population along the way! Some pups had ventured very close to the path, with one cheekily escaped to our side of the dunes. The generous volunteers were kind to answer our curiosities and caution us that whilst the pups look cute and cuddly, they are not afraid to use their sharp teeth!

We gathered at Poppylands 1940s Tearoom, the décor very true to the name, with smiles all round for a group photo.

It was a great day to get to know our fellow students across the institutes and share a love of cute animals! Looking forward to repeating next December!
